And I must say, in spite of his excitement and nonexistent concern about meeting people, etc., it was much easier for this mom to see her first born walk away to this new chapter of his life with a buddy at his side... much like he was 5-years-old and walking away to kindergarten once again...

Awwww, how sweet and touching. I still remember the day I took Melissa to college. I'm *sniffing* right along with you, Paulla. :)
Where is Andy going to college? I don't miss those small dorm rooms, yet I look back on those years with fond memories. I know he'll have a blast at college.
At least he is still close. I'm glad it was a good day and not too hard for you. :>)

Hi Evan,
He's at USM (southern Maine). It IS a small dorm room, but at least it's a single, which is what he wanted.
He still calls me 40 times/day. :)
