My seriousness about the making of S'Mores!Later that same week, we went to the beach yet again. I enjoyed the sunshine on the beach, and when I dared to dip my toes into the frigid water, it hurt. I mean, it hurt a LOT. I jumped back in protest. The kids, however, braved the cold and shivered as they rode the waves on their boogie board...

Andy and Sherilyn have been painting our house. We couldn't figure how how they would be able to reach the eve above the garage, as it is very high and the garage is too steep to stand on, as well as too steep for a ladder-holder. Our neighbor helped us to come up with this contraption...
It actually worked, but I had a hard time watching.As summer draws to a close, I realize I have GOT to start planning our school year. After all, we start in less than two weeks. I've been spending time ordering, browsing catalogs, and making plans with the materials we already have. I love the planning part of homeschooling, even if I do make a mess...
