Standardized Testing

Today we started our end-of-the-year week with the Iowa Basic. Oddly enough, my kids LOVE to take this test. In spite of having colds and pouring down rain outside, they awakened early and were eager to start filling in those zillions of circles. I imagine that by the end of the week, they'll feel differently.

When I tried to capture a quiet testing moment on the camera, one of the girls couldn't resist looking up when she heard the camera beep. (See if you can guess which one).

I told her to look back dwon at her test booklet - I wanted the photo to look official! But EACH time the camera beeped, darned if she didn't look up again. You can't tell from the photos but we all started laughing hysterically between shots... then she'd give her "don't bother me, I'm testing" face.

Finally I got a shot that "looks" official, LOL.

If only I could channel her nonsense energy into something useful. :)
