Last week we visited Boston Children's Hospital. This was after seeing the only pediatric neurologist in Maine (for several years) and determining that he was less than helpful. Our new neurologist at the Children's Hospital is wonderful. She has given us a new treatment plan, as well as follow-ups, and we are feeling very hopeful.
I suppose that's the most important thing right now - hope.
Not only does this doctor want to try a new headache prevention medication, she has also suggested more alternative treatments such as acupuncture and biofeedback. I so appreciate a doctor who is open minded and doesn't rely only on chemicals.
All in all, we had a great day in Boston!
